Content | One of the first steps towards intercultural competence is to recognize that we are all susceptible to unconscious bias and need support in understanding and overcoming hidden prejudices. This course examines the key characteristics and different kinds of unconscious bias that can influence our relationships in cross-cultural situations. Participants will learn why the brain receives and processes information in a biased manner, how to recognize unconscious bias, how bias can affect attitudes, behaviour and decision making, and why recognizing unconscious bias benefits us all.
