Karlsruhe Dialogues 2011

Axel Eduard Fischer, born in Karlsruhe in 1966, has been a member of the German Bundestag since 1998. After training to become an electrician, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and worked there as a researcher after receiving his degree. Axel E. Fischer has been a member of the CDU’s national federal committee since 1993, as well as the treasurer of CDU North Baden and the chairman of the German War Graves Commission. Since May 2010, he has also been chairman of the select committee "Internet and Digital Society." Among other things, he calls for the removal of anonymity in the internet.
