Centre for Urban Insecurity

The ZuU, Zentrum für urbane Unsicherheit or Centre for Urban Insecurity, was conceived during the 2017 summer camp. In August 2017, this summer camp was held under the title ‘Secure in the City. Coexistence and Conflict in the Urban Environment’, organised by the Schader Foundation in conjunction with the Hesse State Chamber of Architects and Urban Planners, the German Association of Craftsmen/DWB, the German Association for Urban, Regional, and State Planning/SRL, and the ZEIT Foundation Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius. Since December 2017, the Centre for Urban Insecurity has had more than 20 members active in various disciplines from all over Germany.
