Anis Boufrikha was born in Sousse, Tunisia, in 1979. In 2007, he graduated in entrepreneurship and business from the Higher Institute of Management, University of Sousse, with a dissertation entitled From the Financial Globalization until Socio-Economic Globalization: World Bank Intervention in Tunisian High Education. Since 2007, he has been working at the African Development Bank as a research assistant for African NGOs on the topics of gender climate change and sustainable development, and since 2009 as a research assistant in General Services & Procurement. Boufrikha is involved in various civil society projects. He is coordinator of ‘Young Arab Voices’ and ‘Citizens for Dialogue’ in Tunisia. He founded the international ‘We love’ association network and is founder and president of the Tunisian division: ‘We love Sousse’ is a project that aims to improve the living environment in the city of Sousse through outreach projects and volunteer activities. Boufrikha is the Head of the Tunisian network of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
